As a Member you are acknowledging your personal relationship with Christ and your agreement with our Statement of Faith and our Constitution & By-Laws. Membership at your local church is actually “counter-cultural.” It’s not about what you’re going to get out of it – it’s about rolling up your sleeves and committing to be involved where God is at work in this local church!
No! Membership is actually an individual process. We want to know each person’s individual story of coming to know Christ and complete their own paperwork. We do have some instances where not everyone in an immediate household is a Member.

No. While baptism is a beautiful celebration of your public profession of your faith, Membership is your commitment to our local church. They are two separate processes. While baptism is very highly encouraged for Members, it is not required.
No, you do not. You do need to have a personal relationship with the Lord when we partake in this remembrance moment in our worship services.
We have many, many roles where you actually do not need to be a Member in order to serve. However, if you will be leading or teaching in any capacity (ie., small groups, with kids/students or if you are a Ministry Leader, etc.) then we do want you to be a Member within a reasonable time of starting your role.
No! That is private information. We do believe it is a joy and privilege to be a financial partner along side God’s work here at Compass (our finances are His in the first place!). We will share about our financial systems and checks in balances that we have in place, so you can have confidence in our stewardship process.
No! Discover The Compass is a great first step to get to know your Campus Staff and all that is going on at your Campus. Membership Class is different, but the presentation is the same for all locations and online since Membership means the same thing across The Compass. The Membership Class includes a presentation followed by a time of discussion with an Elder or their representative with each person in order to hear your story and answer your questions.
That is ok! We want you to become a Member when the time is right. No matter what, you will come out of our time together more versed about Compass – and that is a good thing!
